What our customers say about us and our products.

IN THE PRESS - TAKEN FROM AN ARTICLE WRITTEN IN 'THE NATIONAL' NEWSPAPER REVIEWING THE NC500 - "We then turned right onto the B869 towards Drumbeg, which is “a short drive” according to Google. Just an hour detour ... Why not?Claire wanted to go to the “famous” soap shop, which we reached almost two hours later. On a very (very, very) tight single track road, the ever-capable Maggie handled the 25 per cent gradients with finesse as we wound up towards stunning sea views across Eddrachillis Bay and back down towards Drumbeg. After stopping at The Little Soap And Candle company for lunch in The Secret Tearoom (a total treat) and some homemade lemonade, we kept on this windy road all the way past Stoer beach, taking in more single-track empty roads ... which took us almost three hours. Do not trust Google maps!

BLOG - LITTLE HUT OF HEAVEN - "As the saying goes 'keep the best til last' and that my friends is what I've done (yup, you're welcome) One of the most special places we visited was The Little Soap and Candle Company. From the outside, The Little Soap and Candle Company looks like a small shed, it's based at the end of a bumpy, stony track road and you could quite easily pass straight by it. The inside is a different story though, as soon as you walk up the steps and through the door, your in a little hut of Heaven, there are shelves lined with candles, bath salts, oils and unique bits and bobs that are all natural and handmade and are inspired by the surrounding environment. The company is run by mother and son duo Helen and Danny. The real magic is outside, behind the shop in the form of the Secret Tea Room. There's something truly tranquil about sitting in a hidden tea room amidst heather covered mountains and a real working croft, enjoying some of the nicest tea and cake I've ever had, listening to the gentle tinkle of the wind chimes together with the occasional bleating of the sheep on the other side of the fence. It's definitely good for the soul and I'm pretty sure I left a little piece of my heart there".Read the full blog

BEST CANDLES EVER! (Mrs J Blyth - Edinburgh, UK) I am a huge candle fan, and yours are by far the best I have ever used! I have tried them all, (including some very expensive brands). They smell wonderful and last ages. Amazing value for money" "SHAVING SOAP DELIGHT!" (Carin Johnson - Bolton, UK)Since visiting your shop, two summers ago, my husband really has preferred your shaving soap! I last mail-ordered your latest block-format for him and he is 'Happy as Larry', Thanks for creating such a lovely product!"

NOT USUALLY A FAN OF SOAP ... BUT" (Split Rock Croft Self Catering, Stoer, Scotland, UK)) "Not usually a fan of soap, but bought some for my guests Self Catering and tried it myself. What a revelation!!!! I feel like I have used expensive hand cream this morning! Highly recommend the Highland Wild Flowers soap - and you can use it on hair, body, face and even shave (Men...) with it! Marvellous!"

"LAVENDER HAND CREAM"(Margery Watson - Cumbria, UK) "I bought some of your lovely lavender hand cream. I knit and crochet and find the wool can be drying so I have started putting some of your hand cream on first. Not only does it keep my hands soft but it gives my work a slight lavender smell. Was pleasantly surprised how good your cream is, sometimes hand produced cream is not as effective as other creams"
